Hi, Im Cynthia Huntziker! I'm the breeder behind CBOO Doxie's located in Goleta, CA. We are family oriented breeder's of dachshund puppies. We are devoted to providing high quality and healthy miniature dachshunds, both smooth and long haired! Our main priority is making sure our litters are healthy, cared for, and ready for homes.

Our Vision

At CBOO Doxies, our vision is to promote the health and well-being of dachshund dogs through responsible breeding practices. All puppies go home with a health guarantee/shot records and an initial vet visit.

Animal Welfare

We promote the highest standards in animal welfare by committing ourselves to their health and safety. We researched our puppies, only buying from responsible and respected dachshund breeders. All our dogs are AKC registered and have been genetically tested. Health is our top priority.

Finding Homes

Over the years, we have had the pleasure of placing many doxies in loving homes. We work closely with customers to match them with the puppy that best fits their lifestyle. We take responsible pet ownership seriously with thorough screenings of our buyers. We are committed to providing outstanding customer service and follow-up service.

Why dachshunds?

Dachshunds (doxies for short) are known for their long silhouette, short and muscular legs, brave and energetic personality, and for always being on the lookout. Dachshunds were bred to be independent hunters of prey. Because of this, dachshund dogs can be brave to the point of carelessness, yet their charming nature and famous long-and-low body make them one of the most popular dog breeds in the U.S.

Dachshunds are good dogs for apartments and small houses, but they do tend to bark a lot, but with some training, their barking habits should be managed. Due to their history with hunting, they have an excellent sense of smell and prey drive, which might not mix well in homes with smaller animals that might be perceived as something to catch or chase.

While dachshunds are smart dogs, they are often independent and willful, which might be a challenge when wanting to train them. Dachshund puppies must be socialized consistently while young so they learn to be confident, sweet, and good-mannered dogs!
